Marta Kostyuk talks about beating Coco Gauff and using the hawk-eye system in clay – Tennis Tonic

During the press conference in Stuttgart after her epic victory over Coco Gauff, Marta Kostyuk expressed her skepticism about the use of the hawk eye system in clay tournaments. She shared her previous experiences with the system at last year’s Madrid tournament, where she believed the machines made errors similar to human referees. Kostyuk felt that while the hawk-eye system is accurate, it is different on clay courts. The Ukrainian player also emphasized the exciting nature of her match against Gauff, with the outcome decided by a few points. She praised her opponent’s unique playing style and looked forward to another great match in the final.
