Athletics wraps up competition at Gibson Invitational & Multi

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Marquette University athletics concluded competition at the Gibson Invitational & Multi on Saturday.

“Overall it was a very solid day,” Bert Rogers said. “We have achieved many PRs in cross-country and running events. This weekend and the next two are crucial in getting our performance ready for the BIG EAST in May.”

Aaron Hughes set a new PR in the 100m with a time of 10.63 seconds, good for the fourth fastest time in program history. Hughes finished 11th in the 200m with a PR of 22.13 seconds.

Daylee Braden set a new PR in the 800m in 2:14.21 and finished fifth.

Annika Bynum finished first in the high jump at 1.67m. Natalia Jackowski finished sixth at 1.62m.

Lexi Keppler set a new PR in the 1500m with a time of 4:47.28 and finished 17th. Nathan Hirsch finished 17th in the same event with a time of 3:59.45.

Zechariah Murray finished eighth in the 400 meters in 48.80 seconds.

Kaylee Hopp finished fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.78 m and ninth in the long jump at 5.33 m.



  • Marquette splits for competition in Des Moines, Iowa for the Drake Relays (April 25-27) and Whitewater, Wisconsin for the UWW Drake Alternative (April 26).
