No. 7 Cal Drops regular season finale


Bears defeated No. 3 Stanford 4-1

STANFORD, California – The No. 7 California beach volleyball team was defeated 4-1 by No. 3 Stanford on Saturday to end the regular season.

The Golden Bears (20-11) saw their four-game winning streak end at the hands of the rival Cardinal (27-3), who are winners of 10 straight.

All five matches were decided in straight sets, with Stanford winning the top four courts. The Bears ended the weekend on a high note Portia Sherman And Jenna Colligan defeated the Cardinal’s Maya Harvey and Ashley Vincent 21-16, 21-18. Sherman and Colligan are the first duo in more than two weeks to score a point at Stanford.
