Who We Are

Go ye! into the world and preach the Gospel to all Nations! In 1970 Pastor Wayman Mitchell went to the small town of Prescott, Arizona. From here, a spiritual fire was launched that is spanning the globe. Since that time over a thousand churches have been planted with crusades and conferences touching tens of thousands every year. Theses Churches are a product of that vision and is working to see it expanded in the short time that remains before Jesus returns. God has given us a vision for the day we live in. Our message is simple, yet it is the cornerstone of all truth. JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY hope for mans' salvation. In a world full of empty dreams and false promises, there is a truth which grows stronger every day... JESUS CHRIST, THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD

In 1989 Tuscon’s Pastor Harold Warner sent a couple to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to establish a work for the Lord.  Pastor Alan and Laurie Kern set up a work that has reflected the compassion and comfort that Jesus Christ gave to his disciples.  Today Pastor Les and Debbie Theisscontinue that work in one of the most troubled of areas in Edmonton.  With prostitution and drug problems in the local community, the Potter’s House Church is fighting back to win the lost to salvation.

Our Mission

The Potter's House Church takes its inspiration from Jeremiah 18:2 “Arise and get thee down to the potter's house and there I will cause thee to hear my words ."

Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever. Psalm 29:2 says, "Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness." Central to the life of the congregation is the vibrant, heartfelt, exuberant worship of Jesus Christ as Lord.
(Acts 2:42) says “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship.” The life of the early church revolved around the faithful ministry of teaching and preaching God’s Word, and the bond of committed relationships that believers had with one another. (Gal 6:10) reiterates, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” In order for worship to complete us, the church must be a fellowship of believers.
(Mark 16:15) “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature…” The great commission has never been rescinded. Keeping the gospel “outside the four walls” is one of the defining ethics and emphasis of our ministry.
(Matt 28:19-20) “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations… teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…” Discipleship is a responsibility we take seriously. It is also a process where we challenge believers to mature and grow as followers of Christ seeking to do his will.
Devotion refers to our commitment to God's will, God’s ways, and God’s Word. We believe in a serious minded approach to communion with God. Finding the balance between legalism and license is the fruit of an intimate relationship with God.
